Our Newhaven Pizza Shop
Very excited to say we’re opening the doors to our very first bricks and mortar pizza place on Newhaven High Street this week!
We’re offering 24” New York style pizzas, available by the slice and whole, and our well loved 12” Neapolitan pizzas. We have a selection of our best selling dips and side dishes available too. We also have a small selection of drinks. So you’ll be able to get the best pizza in Newhaven from Friday 1st May!
Although the menu is slightly different to that of our offering in Lewes you will still be able to get gluten-free, our own recipe, and vegan options.
And whilst we’re known for our hand-built wood-fired ovens at festivals and events and at our kitchen at the Lewes Arms pub, in Newhaven we’re using a high spec electric pizza oven. We’re still using our signature heritage grain dough, made fresh and slow prooved, so it will be same delicious dough different heat, still as tasty.
Initially we will be open Wednesday to Sunday, with late night pizza at the weekend. You can see our opening hours for Newhaven here.
As for ordering pizza in Newhaven you’ll be able to get pizza directly from the shop (the quickest option!) or order for collection or delivery. We use the good ol’ telephone to take orders or you can order direct through our own online ordering site here. If you like to use deliveroo, just eats and uber eats you have the option to do this also. If you’re coming to the high street to collect your order you can park on the street near the taxi rank or in the Dacre Road Multi-storey car park around the corner in Dacre Road - with an hours free parking.
If you’re looking to eat-in we’re next door to a micro pub so you’ll be able to grab a pizza and sit down in there, also with a pint.
As we’ve been getting the shop ready we’ve been warmly welcomed into the neighborhood and we’re really looking forward to being part of the community. As Pat says “pizza is for everyone, and when you build an oven, you build a community”. We have hopes our small pizza shop can be a beacon on the high street, a hidden gem that the locals quietly rate.
